WHAT IS BOTOX?

Botox partially paralyzes the muscles responsible for these lines so the wrinkles cannot be continuously reinforced by underlying muscular contraction. WHAT IS BOTOX MADE OF?
Botox is the most popular cosmetic injectable in the world. The active ingredient is derived from a bacteria called clostridium botulinum. When injected in tiny quantities, Botox smooths facial wrinkles and lines. It is FDA-approved and is relied upon by hundreds of thousands of people who love the smoothing effect.

WHAT ARE THE RISKS ASSOCIATED WITH BOTOX?
You may see slight swelling or redness around the injection sites, which fades quickly. You have only a couple of restrictions: Do not massage the area treated, no strenuous exercise for 24 hours, no hot sun, saunas or excessive heat for 72 hours, and avoid alcohol and salty foods to limit swelling. Botox carries some risk of bruising around the injection site.
The results appear in about seven days, so if you have an upcoming event and want to look your best, plan your treatment at least two weeks in advance.
HOW LONG DOES BOTOX LAST?
The results of BOTOX are in the range of three to four months, with some variation person to person. When you see the fine lines and wrinkles reappearing, it is your skin signaling you that it is time for your next treatment.
IS BOTOX DANGEROUS?
BOTOX has been on the market since 2002 and is not dangerous. It is used not only in the field of aesthetics but in the medical field – even on children. Although BOTOX is known to be extremely safe, it must be injected correctly. WILL MY FACE LOOK FROZEN AFTER BOTOX INJECTIONS?

BOTOX, Dysport, and Xeomin all share similarities, but also have differences that mean one or more of these products can be better for certain areas. DYSPORT
Dysport and BOTOX are very similar. They are both forms of Botulinum Toxin Type A, FDA approved to reduce muscle movement. The main difference between the two is that Dysport has smaller protein molecules and is a more diluted formulation. Due to these differences, Dysport interacts differently in the body than BOTOX. Dysport, as a more diluted formula, spreads over a larger area. Often used to treat lines and creases in the forehead, the product is effective for facial areas with thinner muscles. One advantage is that fewer injections are needed. While Dysport is the perfect injectable for certain features, it may be less beneficial for smaller areas, such as the crease between the eyebrows or on those unattractive lines radiating from the mouth.
XEOMIN
Xeomin is like BOTOX and Dysport in that it is an injectable form of Botulinum Toxin A, and that it helps reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. However, Xeomin doesn’t have preservative protein, which allows it to bind to the muscles immediately, producing a faster result. Xeomin avoids giving the face a “frozen” appearance, and looks and feels more natural. Additionally, Xeomin does not contain any additives and is only the Botulinum Toxin A, reducing the rare situation in which the body develops antibodies to the product.
